V2 Rocket

The German V-2 was the first operational long-range ballistic missile and the first human-made object to reach the edge of space on a suborbital trajectory. Deployed late in the war against Allied cities, it combined major technological advances with a brutal history of forced labor in its production. This V2 Rocket was brought back from Germany at the end of the Second World War.

For the display they took part of the side off so you can get a good look at the engines.

Reich Chancellery Eagle

This battle-damaged bronze Nazi state eagle originally decorated Hitler’s New Reich Chancellery in Berlin. It was recovered from the ruins after the fall of Berlin in 1945 and transferred to Britain after the war. It is now displayed at the Imperial War Museum in London.

Berlin Wall Fragment:

Part of the barrier that divided Berlin during the Cold War from 1961 to 1989. The wall became a powerful symbol of the division between East and West before its opening in November 1989 helped mark the beginning of the end of communist rule in Eastern Europe.

Operation Sea Lion Invasion Map

A captured German planning map showing proposed invasion routes for Operation Sea Lion, Nazi Germany’s planned invasion of Britain in 1940. The marked routes and operational notes illustrate how German forces expected to cross the English Channel and establish beachheads in southern England. The invasion was never launched after Germany failed to gain air superiority during the Battle of Britain.
