Koh Ker Temple Complex

Koh Ker is a collection of sites about 75 miles north of Siem Reap and Angkor Wat. It is mostly jungle with very few people. There are a bunch of different sites (including Prasat Pram) but only some of them can be visited by tourists because they are difficult to get to in the jungle and the whole area is not fully demined.

These sites were built at a time when the capital of the region was located here instead of south at Angkor Wat.

The main attraction is a 120 foot tall seven-tiered pyramid called Prasat Thom that was built as a temple to Shiva.
